Gold Coast Family Resorts

The Gold Coast is a holiday mecca for families and many Gold Coast Family Resorts to choose from. Most resorts are located in Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach but for a more family friendly resort look at the beach suburbs either side of Surfers and Broadbeach. Main Beach is a very chic part of the Gold Coast, it has a very trendy cappuccino strip called Tedder Avenue, it has some very nice bars, cafes and restaurants for the well to do.

South of Broadbeach is Mermaid Beach, Nobby Beach, Palm Beach then to the south of the Gold Coast is Kirra and Coolangatta. Some resorts worth thinking about for a family is somewhere like Turtle Beach Resort at Mermaid Beach, it is on the highway so you can use public transport to the theme parks and has nicely appointed self contained units for families in one, two or three bedroom apartments.

Probably the most child friendly resort on the Gold Coast is the very popular Paradise Resort. It is on Ferny Avenue on the northern side of Surfers Paradise and it has extensive activities for the kids so that they (if you want) can be occupied all day long leaving mum and dad to relax or spend the day on the beach or shopping or doing whatever they like.

So to reiterate, Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach have by far the most resorts but there are many other options if you want to get away from the 'glitter strip'. Coolangatta, Palm Beach, Mermaid Beach are some of the other options of resort areas that have their own shopping and are a bit slower paced.
